For several years we have been sharing information about the problems/solutions related to Unnecessary Police Response caused by alarm industry false alarms. Including the unsustainable disruption of the vital E911 system. Most monitoring firms were delivering over 95% false alarms. A new public safety program, imposed by law enforcement, now available city by city, known as VR/Verified Response, quickly released the pressures. A brief description of VR… NO police response to private alarm systems, unless their monitoring provider is reporting a felony in-action at alarm-site. It worked quickly for the obvious reasons… no response! Many monitoring firms were already updated to meet the new requirements. However, it quickly reversed the reason millions of customers are paying $400-$600 annually for their private alarm system. We believe the time-sensitive supply of next-gen components necessary to upgrade millions of customer sites will not be available. What can the customer do? What are the alternatives?
